Instructions for Family Workout Plan
This family workout plan is a schedule of activities and exercises that children can do indoors. Ideally, parents will be involved in making sure that the exercises listed are completed and the child “check’s off” accordingly. The activities listed are meant for fun daily activity and family bonding. Below is a brief list of step on how to use the Family Workout Plan:
Step 1. Write the child’s name and the date of the week the plan is being used.
Step 2. Make sure the child completes the exercises properly to ensure optimal performance and decrease risk of injury. If you are unsure how to complete a certain exercise, first look at the picture display next to the exercise name. If you are still unsure how to complete the exercise, Youtube is a valuable source of visual display. The exercises will tell you either in parentheses or next to the photo description, how many reps to complete and/or sets.
Step 3. At the end of the week tally all of the activities performed during the week and record in the “total” column.
Step 4. Special awards or incentives can be given based upon level of completion.
Step 5. Have fun and enjoy being active with the kids.
